Clement (Clem) J Cartron III is a 1968 graduate of Cumberland School of Law, Samford University. He obtained his Bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Alabama.


After three years serving as an Assistant District Attorney in Madison County, Alabama, he commenced his private legal practice, working in medium-sized firms, small firms, and as a sole practitioner.


Clem's professional focus has been as a plaintiff's litigation council. He was involved in the settlement for $15 million DDT pollution of public waters and private lands; the settlement of death claim against Southern Airlines; claims under the Civil Rights Act; and a wide range of tort claims and defenses.


Recent litigation accomplishments include a $200,000+ settlement in a medical malpractice claim, and favorable decision in a Federal employment dispute.


He currently represents a number of home owners in construction litigation against unethical building practices. Additional real estate litigation includes boundary line disputes, specific performance suits, real estate development disputes, subcontractor lien suits, and foreclosures.

Laura Jacobs

Laura Jacobs is a graduate of Faulkner University. She obtained her law degree from the Birmingham School of Law in 2006.


Prior to obtaining her law degree, she worked as a paralegal to Clem Cartron for 20 years providing legal support for real estate loan closing transactions, document preparation, and legal research.


Laura currently represents an array of mortgage lenders in real estate loan closing transactions and financing.


Additionally, Laura has been the speaker at numerous seminars for first-time home buyers to discuss the real estate closing transaction process. She has become the firm's primary counsel in the areas of practice of consumer bankruptcy, estate probation and domestic relations actions.


Laura was recently spotlighted by the Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program for her dedication and assistance in providing pro bono legal services to those in need through their program.
